Position Overview
Our client, a specialist in hydraulic solutions across multiple sectors, is seeking a multi-skilled Internal Sales & Warehouse Assistant to support operations across internal sales, inventory, and workshop functions. The ideal candidate should be technically proficient, customer-oriented, and experienced in warehouse operations and hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting:
- Report directly to the Branch Manager
Internal Sales & Customer Service:
- Respond to customer enquiries and process orders
- Prepare quotations and generate invoices
- Manage counter sales transactions
Hose & Fitting Assemblies:
- Cut and assemble hydraulic hoses and fittings
Onsite Service:
- Conduct field repairs, job assessments, and installations when required
Workshop Support:
- Assist with in-house repairs and maintenance tasks
Procurement:
- Source and purchase locally required materials
Inventory Transfers & Receiving:
- Arrange inter-branch stock transfers from Johannesburg warehouse
- Verify and receive incoming stock
Logistics:
- Handle deliveries and collections as needed
Housekeeping & Warehouse Organization:
- Maintain a clean and well-organized workshop and warehouse
- Ensure all stock is correctly allocated and managed in Sage Evolution
- Implement a bin card system to avoid stock shortages
Job Cards & Documentation:
- Generate job cards and complete warranty claim documents
Inventory Management:
- Implement and monitor inventory security measures
- Plan and execute regular stock takes in line with company policy
Customer Communication:
- Notify clients when orders are completed and ready for dispatch
Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Experience with Sage Evolution (essential)
- IPSA system knowledge (advantageous)
- Prior experience in warehouse or relevant industry environment
