Introduction
Phakisa Holdings is currently recruiting a Code 10 Professional Driver for a position based in Germiston.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous chemical and oil products, ensuring full compliance with transport regulations and internal safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Code 10 vehicles to deliver fuel, oil, and chemical products to assigned destinations
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and cargo safety and compliance
- Accurately complete delivery documentation, including trip sheets, logbooks, and delivery notes
- Safely load and offload hazardous materials in accordance with applicable regulations
- Follow scheduled routes and adhere to delivery deadlines
- Maintain a clean driving record and report any incidents or irregularities promptly
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) for Dangerous Goods
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Minimum 4 years of experience transporting fuel, chemicals, or other hazardous substances
- Clean criminal record and excellent driving history
- Must successfully pass medical and drug screening tests
- Strong communication skills
- Valid driver assessment letter
Remuneration
- R61.60 per hour
