Introduction
Salary: R144 000
We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Driver to transport goods and/or passengers efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate must hold a valid driver’s license, have a clean driving record, and demonstrate a solid understanding of traffic laws and road safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver documents, packages, goods, and materials as required
- Transport company staff when necessary
- Maintain professional conduct when interacting with both internal and external stakeholders
- Keep the assigned vehicle clean, well-maintained, and in good working order
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and arrange for routine maintenance
- Ensure the safe and punctual completion of all transportation tasks
- Record trip and fuel usage accurately in designated logs
- Plan and adjust routes based on traffic and road conditions
- Strictly adhere to traffic regulations and company policies
- Assist with general office errands and ad hoc duties as needed
- Be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required
Minimum Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Proven driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with local roads, routes, and traffic conditions
- Experience using GPS and navigation systems
- Certifications in defensive or professional driving are advantageous
