Temporary Driver – Packaged Gas

Air Products South Africa (Pty) Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to fill a temporary vacancy within our Packaged Gas division at our Witbank facility. We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply.
Role Overview & Key Responsibilities
The main function of this role is to ensure the safe and reliable delivery and collection of packaged gas cylinders to and from both internal and external customer sites. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Loading and offloading gas cylinders efficiently and safely
- Ensuring timely delivery and collection of cylinders to designated sites
- Maintaining good housekeeping and assisting with general facility tasks
- Strict adherence to all SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk & Quality) standards
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
- Valid EC Driver’s License with PrDP (Professional Driving Permit)
- Valid Forklift License
- Valid Dangerous Goods Certificate
- Minimum 5 years’ experience driving heavy-duty vehicles
- Proven experience in handling and transporting dangerous goods
- Must be medically fit for physical duties
- Own, reliable transportation
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
- Ability to complete vehicle check reports and accurate delivery paperwork
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
