Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support operations within the faculty office. The successful candidate will assist with student administration, graduation preparations, venue coordination, and postgraduate processes. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in academic administration who enjoys working in a structured and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in the preparation and execution of graduation ceremonies
- Maintain and manage student records, including filing and archiving
- Assist with the administration of postgraduate student assessments and processes for Supernumerary Registrars
- Coordinate venue bookings and oversee associated logistics
- Provide general support within the faculty office as required
Minimum Requirements
- Matric and a National Diploma or relevant tertiary qualification
- 1–2 years of experience in a student administration role within a faculty office
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and high levels of computer literacy
- Familiarity with Student Information Management Systems (SIMS) is advantageous
- Knowledge of university administrative policies, procedures, and environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Good planning, time management, and teamwork skills
