Role Purpose
We are seeking a Training and Events Administrator to provide essential administrative and logistical support to the Training, Events, and Development (TED) team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Events Coordinator and Logistics team to ensure smooth planning and execution of training sessions and events.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the administration and support needs of the TED team
- Supervise the training reception area and respond to trainer and delegate queries
- Deliver professional front-of-house services during training sessions and events
- Monitor and manage the TED admin workpool and departmental inbox according to service level agreements
- Provide general administrative and logistical support to the team and clients
- Collaborate with management to explore ways to improve workflow and efficiency
- Offer ad-hoc assistance with event coordination and logistics
- Work closely with the facilities team to maintain optimal use of training and meeting rooms
- Coordinate communication with internal stakeholders regarding scheduling, confirmations, and feedback
- Maintain accurate records including asset registers, usage statistics, and other department data
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
- Required: Minimum of 4 years in an administrative role
- Preferred: Experience in training and/or events coordination
Education:
- Required: Matric (Grade 12)
- Preferred: Diploma or Degree in Office Management or a related field
Technical Skills:
- Required:
- Microsoft Excel – Proficient
- Microsoft Outlook – Proficient
- Preferred:
- Planon software – Proficient
