Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Report for duty on time and sign the daily attendance sheet.
  • Fully implement key issue protocols, including signing for the duty mobile and the master key.
  • Receive work assignments, keys, and supplies from the supervisor.
  • Set up the trolley before starting to clean assigned areas.
  • Clean guest lift landings, corridors, and fire exit staircases.
  • Inspect all rooms and bathrooms, performing a variety of cleaning tasks such as vacuuming carpets and upholstered furniture, dusting, damp wiping furniture, emptying ashtrays and wastebaskets.
  • Make beds, wash sinks, bathtubs, toilets, tiles, mirrors, and floors.
  • Polish brass and metal surfaces.
  • Replenish bathroom and room supplies.
  • Arrange guest toiletries neatly on vanity tops.
  • Spot clean carpets, upholstery, and drapery as necessary.
  • Maintain guest corridors, service pantries, and service areas in a neat and tidy condition at all times.
  • Report any required maintenance work to the Supervisor immediately.
  • Report damaged or missing items and any suspicious guest behavior to the supervisor promptly.
  • Inform Room Service to remove trays and trolleys from guestrooms and corridors.
  • Notify valet service to collect guests’ clothes for laundry, dry cleaning, or pressing.
  • Accurately fill out the room attendant report with the time of entering the guestroom.
  • Turn in all lost and found articles to Housekeeping before the end of the shift.
  • Maintain rooms in a clean, safe, and hygienic state at all times.
  • Greet guests courteously and politely.
  • Report to the Housekeeping office if guests have pets, cooking equipment, or dangerous possessions in the room.
  • Coordinate with the Supervisor if items are missing in assigned areas.
  • Open and record the time for rooms requested by engineering in the Housekeeping Attendant Report.
  • Attend daily briefings and report to work well-groomed.

Skills:

  • At least one year of experience as a Room Attendant in a hotel.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products.
  • Good physical health and stamina.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
