Job Title: Driver: Light Duty

Reporting To: Used Vehicle Manager
Position Overview: This role is ideal for an individual responsible for executing driving duties and assisting with other reasonable tasks as required.
Specific Role Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicles for defects and ensure they are locked.
- Check vehicles for damages and roadworthy conditions.
- Report all accidents and traffic offenses.
- Perform other reasonable duties as required by the department.
- Assist with language translation when possible.
- Inspect new vehicles for damage, defects, missing tools, and spare wheels, and report findings to the Manager.
- Ensure all vehicles are locked, and keys are stored in a secure key box or at reception.
- Start vehicles regularly to maintain battery health.
- Work overtime as needed, including night shifts from 20:00 to 05:00.
- Provide driver training to drivers/customers during the handover of new vehicles.
- Complete all necessary reports for driver training sessions conducted.
- Transport vehicles between the dealership, suppliers, and customers.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of Grade 12.
- Valid Code 14(EC) driver’s license.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
Skills and Personal Attributes:
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Driver Trainer Qualification with an OEM or similar is advantageous.
- Team-oriented.
- Customer-oriented.
