Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Report for duty on time and sign the daily attendance sheet.
- Fully implement key issue protocols, including signing for the duty mobile and the master key.
- Receive work assignments, keys, and supplies from the supervisor.
- Set up the trolley before starting to clean assigned areas.
- Clean guest lift landings, corridors, and fire exit staircases.
- Inspect all rooms and bathrooms, performing a variety of cleaning tasks such as vacuuming carpets and upholstered furniture, dusting, damp wiping furniture, emptying ashtrays and wastebaskets.
- Make beds, wash sinks, bathtubs, toilets, tiles, mirrors, and floors.
- Polish brass and metal surfaces.
- Replenish bathroom and room supplies.
- Arrange guest toiletries neatly on vanity tops.
- Spot clean carpets, upholstery, and drapery as necessary.
- Maintain guest corridors, service pantries, and service areas in a neat and tidy condition at all times.
- Report any required maintenance work to the Supervisor immediately.
- Report damaged or missing items and any suspicious guest behavior to the supervisor promptly.
- Inform Room Service to remove trays and trolleys from guestrooms and corridors.
- Notify valet service to collect guests’ clothes for laundry, dry cleaning, or pressing.
- Accurately fill out the room attendant report with the time of entering the guestroom.
- Turn in all lost and found articles to Housekeeping before the end of the shift.
- Maintain rooms in a clean, safe, and hygienic state at all times.
- Greet guests courteously and politely.
- Report to the Housekeeping office if guests have pets, cooking equipment, or dangerous possessions in the room.
- Coordinate with the Supervisor if items are missing in assigned areas.
- Open and record the time for rooms requested by engineering in the Housekeeping Attendant Report.
- Attend daily briefings and report to work well-groomed.
Skills:
- At least one year of experience as a Room Attendant in a hotel.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products.
- Good physical health and stamina.
- Flexibility to work in shifts.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions.
