Position Details: Location: Virtual – Louisiana Division: Road Transport US Job Title: Van OTR Driver Employment Type: Full Time

Job Summary: The DSV Road Transport Truck Driver, Van OTR role entails operating tractor/semi-trailers within and between company and customer facilities while maintaining vigilance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive semi-tractor/trailers for up to 11 hours after 10 hours off-duty on trips lasting up to one week or longer.
  • Maneuver trailers to customer docks for loading and unloading.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and State safety regulations and exhibit safe and professional driving behavior.
  • Interact with customer representatives in a courteous, efficient manner.
  • Adhere to all DOT requirements, including drug and alcohol testing.
  • Perform various tasks such as cranking dolly legs, applying tire chains in inclement weather, and securing trailer doors.
  • Assist with other duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Meet D.O.T. qualification requirements per FMCSR 391.41.
  • Possess or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card within 90 days.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years of driving experience.

Physical Requirements: The role involves manual handling of freight, reaching, lifting, and operating foot pedals. Candidates must be physically capable of performing these tasks, including climbing in and out of vehicles, conducting pre-trip inspections, and hooking/unhooking commercial vehicle combinations.

Work Environment: The work environment may expose employees to fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, with a moderate noise level. Reasonable accommodations can be arranged for individuals with disabilities.

Compensation: Base pay ranges from $0.49 to $0.66 per mile, subject to factors such as location, skills, and experience.
