Code 14 Driver @ Premier

In the role of Driver-Code 14, your primary objective is to oversee the transportation of assigned loads and/or vehicles along designated routes, ensuring the safe delivery of products without any damages.


Perform daily inspections of the vehicle, promptly reporting any faults or significant mechanical issues to relevant personnel. Complete vehicle inspection sheets and handle refueling. Take charge of the vehicle’s maintenance and upkeep. Load and unload various food products, including pallets, while maintaining cleanliness and ensuring proper functioning of associated equipment.

Adhere strictly to the Road Traffic Act and prioritize the safety of all road users. Comply with regulations outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act, as well as company policies and road regulations. Ensure accurate loading and verification of documentation. Obtain signatures on proof of deliveries upon completion (PODs, etc.). Navigate routes effectively within Gauteng and surrounding areas. Maintain the company vehicle in optimal condition and uphold good housekeeping standards.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

Minimum educational requirement: Grade 12 certificate. Possess 5-10 years of driving experience, preferably with Scania, Mercedes Benz, and MAN vehicles. Hold a valid, unendorsed Code 14 driver’s license with a valid PrDP. Maintain a clean driving and criminal record. Demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with proficient reading and writing abilities. Must be medically fit and possess a hands-on, practical approach to the job. Be hardworking, self-motivated, and reliable. Possess excellent time management and organizational skills. Be willing to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays as required.
