We’re in search of an additional Driver to join our team at the New Zealand High Commission (NZHC) in Pretoria.
As part of this role, you’ll play a crucial part in assisting the team in fulfilling our mission of fostering a safer, more prosperous, and sustainable future worldwide, primarily through providing driving services and other administrative support.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, with a minimum of three years of professional driving experience.
- A clean driving record (no violations or accidents) and a clear police clearance.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Flexibility to work variable hours or evenings if necessary.
Additionally, occasional international travel with NZHC staff may be required. Therefore, candidates should either hold a valid passport or be capable of obtaining one post-employment.
Experience in driving for Embassies/High Commissions and proficiency in office administration will be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional driving skills, including route planning and adaptability to traffic/weather conditions. Initiative, independence, and teamwork are essential traits. Effective communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders are also critical for success.
Compensation & Benefits The starting salary for this position ranges from R195,000 to R200,000 gross (pre-tax and deductions). The High Commission provides contributions towards medical aid and pension funds, details of which will be provided upon employment.
