Administrator at The Accounting Company


We are an established and expanding accounting firm located in Edenvale, seeking an Office Administrator/Team and Client Support team member. This individual will also be responsible for aiding owners with personal tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities

The ideal candidate should be a collaborative team member, demonstrating commitment, dedication, and a readiness to exceed expectations for the company, team, and clients.

We seek a professional, articulate, and confident individual capable of managing various office administrative tasks, including phone correspondence, team progress oversight, and client interactions. The candidate should possess high energy levels and self-assurance, as client interaction will be a regular aspect of daily responsibilities.

Please note that the following list is not exhaustive but provides an overview of expected duties and responsibilities.

Office Administration

  • Supervise kitchen and bathroom inventory and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Oversee office repairs and maintenance requirements.
  • Manage cleaning personnel to ensure office cleanliness.
  • Coordinate meetings and issue reminders.
  • Handle incoming office calls.

Team Administration

  • Monitor team progress on a monthly basis.
  • Aid the team in client documentation submissions and requirements.
  • Manage planning software and update client information.
  • Arrange team-building events.
  • Ensure prompt invoicing and submission of ad-hoc client work.
  • Assist clients with social media posts and newsletter content preparation on a regular basis.

Client Administration

  • Assist with or manage the client onboarding process.
  • Provide reminders to clients regarding important deadlines.
  • Follow up with clients regarding document submission deadlines.

Owner Support

  • Assist with client invoicing, receipt of payments, and issuance of client statements.
  • Support owners with personal tasks as needed.

Desired Experience & Qualification

We are seeking an individual with 2-5 years of office administration experience, who is dedicated and collaborative, understanding that the team’s success hinges on collective effort. On-the-job training will be provided, as our niche market involves numerous internal and external deadlines, necessitating a thorough understanding.

Package & Remuneration

Salary: R20 000 CTC, inclusive of a savings initiative portion (negotiable based on experience).
