Job Description Summary:
Bidvest International Logistics seeks to hire a Picker/Packer tasked with pulling and packing items utilizing a pallet jack or trolley, in accordance with daily orders and general warehouse duties.
Requirements and Background:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Matric/Grade 12)
- Minimum of 1 year experience in warehouse operations
- Proficiency in scanner usage
- 1+ year experience in picking, binning, and stock inventory Responsibilities:
Operational Tasks:
- Timely completion of cargo put-away and picking
- Use of scanners for order picking and binning
- Ensuring accuracy of racked and picked cargo for dispatch
- Conducting physical stock counts
- Repalletizing cargo when necessary
- Performing loading and offloading checks for road vehicles and containers as required
- Tallying inward cargo
- Maintaining cleanliness in designated areas
- Adherence to Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards
- Implementing and upholding 5S practices in the designated work area
