We are in search of an experienced driver possessing a Code 10-14 license and a valid PrDP.
This role is offered as a one-year contract and is situated in Northriding, Johannesburg. The selected candidate will undertake the responsibilities of a Driver and Packing Assistant.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Driving:
- Adhering to traffic regulations consistently.
- Promptly reporting any issues with the company vehicle.
- Completing the vehicle log after each trip.
- Collecting and transporting goods or personnel as instructed.
- Ensuring regular checks on tire pressure, oil, and water for the company vehicle.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and overall condition of the vehicle.
- Familiarizing oneself with the Company Vehicle and Driver Policy.
Packing:
- Examining the condition of new inventory during unpacking.
- Repackaging batteries and essential components according to the checklist.
- Safely transporting and delivering items to clients or businesses.
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery for completeness and accuracy.
- Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
Related Duties:
- Ensuring the validity of the vehicle license disc and notifying the direct superior in advance of expiration.
- Ensuring the vehicle is serviced at recommended intervals.
Requirements:
- Matric qualification.
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license.
- A valid Hazchem Certificate (DG) is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Outstanding driving skills.
- Customer-focused approach.
- Approachable, able to work independently, punctual, and reliable.
- Efficient in executing assigned duties.
