Job Description Motus Honda Eastrand currently has an opening for the position of Light Duty Driver.
This role, reporting to the Parts Manager, requires an individual who will be responsible for all driving tasks and assisting with other reasonable duties as needed.
Position Summary Specific Responsibilities
Retrieve parts from other branches, customers, and external suppliers. Deliver parts to external suppliers, other branches, customers, and any other specified destinations. Inspect delivery vehicles for damage, defects, missing parts, spare wheel, and spanners, and promptly report findings to the Manager. Ensure that vehicles are securely locked and inspect them for defects and roadworthiness.
Perform any additional duties as required by the department. Immediately report all accidents and traffic violations to the Manager. Be available for overtime work when necessary. Ensure vehicles undergo roadworthy inspections. Assist customers on the showroom floor. Aid customers in locating vehicles during collection.
Qualifications and Experience Minimum requirement of Grade 12 education. Valid driver’s license with PDP (Public Driving Permit). Clean criminal record.
Skills and Personal Attributes Customer-focused and team-oriented mindset. Excellent verbal communication skills.
