Driver At Implats

Job Objective: The primary aim of this role is to ensure the timely delivery of goods to various departments within the Refineries (Springs) in alignment with company protocols, as well as facilitating the collection of goods from suppliers.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Completion of Grade 12 certificate is mandatory.
  • Possession of a valid Code C1 driver’s license with Public Drivers Permit (PDP) is essential.
  • Holding a valid forklift license and warehouse qualification is advantageous.
  • Minimum of one year of driving experience with light/heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Familiarity with material handling techniques and safe stacking practices.
  • Proficiency in handling hazardous substances and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Must be medically fit.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of all goods loaded onto store vehicles.
  • Loading goods and materials into cages and trucks using a forklift.
  • Transportation of material and equipment using light delivery vehicles/trucks.
  • Ensuring proper maintenance of vehicles and compliance with Road Traffic Regulations.
  • Execution of all activities in accordance with Health and Safety standards.
  • Maintenance of good housekeeping practices.
