Responsibilities:
- Ensuring safe and prompt deliveries to local and country customers.
- Assisting in the loading and unloading of materials onto vehicles.
- Verifying the condition and securing of materials before transportation.
- Cross-checking delivery notes with trip sheets to ensure document accuracy.
- Confirming the attachment of test certificates to graded materials.
- Following assigned routes and adhering to schedules.
- Observing transportation laws and maintaining a clean driving record.
- Preventing overloading of trucks and axles.
- Maintaining cleanliness of vehicle interior and exterior.
- Refueling the vehicle as needed.
- Completing daily vehicle checklists.
- Reporting road incidents and issues to the Transport Controller and following accident procedures.
- Maintaining constant communication with the Transport Controller.
- Providing exceptional customer service.
- Practicing safe driving behaviors to avoid damage or excessive costs to company assets.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid code 10 and/or Code 14 driver’s license with PDP.
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience on designated routes.
- Knowledge of steel products.
- Fluency in English (reading, speaking, and writing) for effective communication.
- Advantageous to possess Crane and Forklift licenses.
- Experience with handling products sold by Macsteel.
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation regulations.
- Strong time management and customer service skills.
