MAP Retail is currently in search of a General Worker to become a valuable member of the Jet Park team. This role primarily involves undertaking general tasks such as merchandising and receiving.
Requirements:
- Essential possession of a Grade 12/Matric certificate
- Proficiency in computer skills
- Demonstrated honesty and integrity
- Strong communication abilities
- Capability to perform well under pressure
- Clean criminal record
Key Performance Indicators will encompass, but are not restricted to:
BINNING / RECEIVING
- Adhere to standard operating procedures for binning incoming merchandise and replenishing inventory from bulk to pick locations
- Allocate new products with bin location numbers in the correct warehouse area
- Update bins and report allocation of stock to new bin locations to superiors
- Assist in replenishment functions
- Receive and check all incoming goods according to company standards
WHEN PICKING
- Timely picking of customer and branch orders to meet order cut-off times
- Use bulk locations only as alternative bins when stock is depleted, preventing breakage of pack sizes
- Follow all relevant procedures to enhance customer satisfaction
- Assist in stock take procedures
- Maintain daily housekeeping
- Conduct double checks to ensure high customer satisfaction and prevent inventory loss
- Consistently achieve set operational targets
SCANNER CONTROL
- Distribute scanners to operators daily
- Log scanner issues and returns on the electronic app
- Inspect returned scanners for damage and log them back into stock on the electronic app
- Report any damage to the supervisor
- Complete the daily scanner issue spreadsheet
