DRIVER (Code 10) TASK 07.
This role will directly report to the Distribution Manager and is based at our Port Elizabeth offices in Thornhill, Eastern Cape.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure complete, undamaged, and on-time delivery of loads. Maintain cleanliness and safekeeping of vehicles, including equipment, fittings, and contents.
Securely load products to prevent damage during transportation.
Promptly report and document any damaged products during loading or offloading.
Manage weight distribution of the truck when loading products.
Perform daily truck inspections for continued safety and required maintenance.Record and report on truck inspections using the driver’s vehicle checklist.
Adhere to safe driving protocols, traffic rules, and regulations.Ensure accurate completion of all required documentation.
Report identified variances to the Distribution Manager before leaving a customer.Desired Experience & Qualification:Grade 12 (Matric) / Senior Certificate.Safe driving record.Physical and medical fitness.
Good communication and writing skills.Sound mathematical skills.
Clear criminal record.Reliable transportation to and from work.Sober habits.
Valid Code 10 license (C1) with valid PDP and medical certificate.
Ability to work overtime and weekends when operationally required.
3 years of professional driving experience.
