About the Role
We are in search of a dependable and conscientious Driver to join our team at the newly established Fluidra Pool Xpert store in Bloemfontein. The chosen candidate will primarily be tasked with executing daily deliveries to Pool Xpert customers and suppliers, ensuring prompt and precise transportation of goods while safeguarding stock integrity. Apart from driving responsibilities, the driver will also be expected to lend a hand with various duties within the shop or warehouse as required, contributing to the overall efficiency and triumph of the team.
Duties & Responsibilities

Daily Deliveries:
- Conduct daily deliveries to Pool Xpert customers and suppliers.
- Guarantee accurate and damage-free delivery of stock to designated destinations.
- Obtain customer signatures as proof of delivery.
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
- Promptly report any maintenance issues and ensure they are resolved.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle at all times.
Compliance with Regulations:
- Adhere strictly to all transport regulations and road safety guidelines.
- Uphold a valid driver’s license and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations governing goods transportation.
Personal Presentation and Safety:
- Maintain a tidy and presentable appearance while on duty.
- Utilize provided personal protective clothing consistently.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Loading and Offloading:
- Safely load and offload stock onto the vehicle.
- Ensure proper securing of goods during transportation to prevent damage.
Assistance with Shop/Warehouse Functions:
- Assist with shop or warehouse tasks during periods of non-delivery.
- Collaborate effectively with other team members to meet operational needs.

Desired Experience & Qualifications
About You:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Code 8).
- Demonstrated experience as a driver, preferably within a retail or trade setting.
- Familiarity with local roads and routes in Bloemfontein.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical fitness and capability to lift and maneuver heavy objects.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
