Job Description: Motus Toyota Bryanston has a current opening for a Light Duty Driver.
Under the supervision of the Parts Manager, this role is suitable for an individual responsible for performing all driving duties and assisting with any other reasonable tasks as needed.
Position Overview: Specific Role Responsibilities:
- Retrieve parts from other branches, customers, and external suppliers.
- Deliver parts to external suppliers, other branches, customers, and any other designated destinations.
- Conduct thorough checks on delivery vehicles for damage, defects, missing parts, spare wheel, and spanners; report findings to the Manager.
- Inspect vehicles for defects and ensure proper locking mechanisms are engaged.
- Assess vehicle conditions for damages and general roadworthiness.
- Fulfill any other reasonable duties assigned by the department.
- Immediately report all accidents and traffic offenses to the Manager.
- Be available for overtime when necessary.
- Facilitate vehicles’ compliance with roadworthy standards.
- Assist customers on the showroom floor.
- Aid customers in locating vehicles during the collection process.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Grade 12 education.
- Valid driver’s license with a Professional Driver’s Permit (PDP).
- Clean criminal record.
