Job Description Position Overview: Driver
We are currently in search of a dedicated Driver for a fixed term contract lasting three months to join our team located at the Linbro Park, Gauteng branch. The primary responsibility will involve the transportation of goods to and from various locations within Gauteng. This entails maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle, adhering to road regulations, and executing deliveries and collections efficiently. Additionally, compliance with all relevant instructions is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Transporting orders to customers
- Retrieving stock from suppliers
- Ensuring accurate documentation accompanies goods for delivery/collection
- Verifying stock correctness prior to delivery/collection
- Loading and unloading stock onto the vehicle for delivery/collection
- Conducting daily vehicle inspections for cleanliness, damages, or mechanical issues
- Ensuring the vehicle license is current and notifying the line manager of renewal deadlines
- Undertaking miscellaneous duties as assigned within the stores
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of Matric/NQF4
- Previous work experience of 2-3 years in a similar role
- Ability to lift heavy objects throughout the day during loading and unloading
- Possession of a valid, unendorsed Code B driver’s license (mandatory)
- Proficiency in verbal communication in English and at least one other official South African language
