Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct daily deliveries to and from clients and suppliers, including loading and unloading goods. Maintain accurate records of all deliveries.
Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the company vehicle.
Perform daily maintenance checks on the vehicle. Plan routes in a cost and time-efficient manner. Adhere to all legal requirements and regulations outlined in the National Road Traffic Act.
Inform the Mailroom Supervisor of any major repairs or maintenance needed.
Educational Requirements Minimum of Grade 10 education. Possession of a Code 10 PDP.
Experience Requirements At least 3 years of experience as a code 10 driver with a PDP. Basic proficiency in administrative tasks. Preferably experienced in delivering goods to and from clients and suppliers.
Skills and Competencies Strong planning and organizing abilities.
Effective communication skills.
Excellent driving proficiency.
Ability to follow instructions accurately.
Adherence to Health and Safety regulations.
Good punctuality and attendance track record.
Commitment to maintaining high housekeeping standards.
Willingness to work shifts and overtime when necessary.
