Complete Job Description Job Description Midas seeks a motivated and target-oriented Driver to join our Rustenburg branch. This role focuses on ensuring the safe transportation of goods to and from destinations while adhering to established procedures.
Position Overview Responsibilities Key performance indicators include, but are not limited to:
Conducting pre-departure and return inspections of the vehicle.
Submitting inspection lists to the Dispatch Supervisor every Monday for approval before receiving a new inspection list.
Promptly reporting any vehicle errors before departure.
Collaborating with the supervisor to check parcels before loading into the vehicle, following the New Dispatch Loading procedure consistently.
Delivering parcels to customers along designated routes according to schedule and trip sheets. Ensuring customers comply with Proof of Delivery (POD) procedures.
Following Return from Customer (RFC) procedures. Delivering all assigned documents and collection slips indicated on the trip sheet and obtaining POD.
Signing trip sheets with the POD clerk and ensuring the return of all documents assigned to your name the following day.
Taking responsibility for outstanding trip sheets and being accountable for any claims regarding No POD queries. Prohibiting stock transfers between customer shops.
Maintaining and cleaning the vehicle and promptly reporting any vehicle issues to the dispatch supervisor. Reporting any delivery or POD-related issues encountered to the dispatch supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 education. At least three years of delivery experience. Valid driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP) – Essential. Strong time management skills – Essential.
