Claims Administrator Clerk – CSA

The Claims Department is currently seeking a Claims Administrator, reporting directly to the Claims Manager. The primary objective of this role is to ensure contract retention while simultaneously minimizing costs associated with vicarious claims action. Additionally, the position aims to manage reputational risks tied to vicarious liability claim action and safeguard the overall interests of the company. The incumbent is expected to contribute to the company’s growth and profitability by delivering excellent service and maintaining strong relationships.

Qualifications, experience, and required competencies:

  • Matric Certificate
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong administrative and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Deadline-driven
  • Advantageous to have 2 years of experience in motor vehicle accident/liability claims

Key responsibilities (not exhaustive):

  • Receive liability and motor vehicle claims matters, overseeing related files for optimal attention
  • Review file content to determine necessary steps for processing
  • Correspond with branches, clients, and claimants to request required documents and information
  • Request contract information and/or copies from legal
  • Forward requests to billing/credit control for WTR Report and withheld funds
  • Update ICBM claims management system and GreenFleet claims management system
  • Close files on ICBM and GreenFleet claims management systems
  • Oversee maintenance of ICBM and GreenFleet claims systems
  • Perform general ad-hoc duties as required by the claims department
  • Review and understand individual claims (motor vehicle and liability), providing necessary suggestions regarding liability
  • Adhere to claim finalization deadlines
  • Handle general office duties
