Cash Management: Fright Forwarder

Introduction:

The primary objective of this role is to ensure precise cash forecasting and adherence to the client’s policies and procedures in all payment processing activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Load, post, and match all Treasury and Bank Payments, including AR Refunds.
  • Conduct daily and weekly cash flow forecasting, promptly raising concerns when necessary.
  • Complete petty cash reconciliations at month-end, reimbursing petty cash based on approved float.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Investigate failed or returned payments by the bank and address unknown receipts that cannot be allocated in the system.
  • Ensure compliance of RSSC and all business units/countries with local and global policies.
  • Deliver accurate and timely month-end reporting.
  • Capture all online banking, cheque payments, treasury payments, and receipts in the financial system within 24 hours of payment.
  • Verify the validity of all Guarantees with banks and institutions, renewing/canceling as needed.
  • Coordinate signatures and submit Asset Based Finance Agreements as required.
  • Review all facilities to ensure sufficient limits are available.
  • Ensure timely processing of all manual/urgent payments in compliance with policy.
  • Process employee expenses, travel advances, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of errors in problematic areas.
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties as directed by immediate supervisor or management.
  • Export bank statements for month-end reconciliations.
  • Communicate with the bank regarding any queries or issues that may arise.
  • Handle various administrative tasks.
  • Understand diverse country requirements and currencies.
  • Support Process Specialists in the AP and IC department.
  • Provide supporting documents and others for audit purposes.

Desired Experience & Qualification:

  • Financial-related qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Cash Management/Treasury.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in creditors or in an operational finance role.
  • Ability to explain transactions using T-Accounts.
  • Basic understanding of Exchange control regulations in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Countries (Adv).
  • Proficiency in SAP ERP (Adv) and CargoWise1 (Adv).
