We currently have an opportunity to appoint qualified candidates to the role of Bike Couriers (with a valid code A driver’s license). These positions are based at Lancet Laboratories in the Johannesburg North Region (Morningside, Sunninghill, Sandton, Fourways, Waterfall, etc.) and will report to the Regional Collections Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities: Purpose:
To ensure safe and timely collection and delivery of goods, shuttle services, and provide excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan collection and delivery routes by checking boxes and tasks requiring attention. • Execute delivery and collection of specimens from outlying laboratories, supporting doctors, and clients to enhance customer service levels. • Complete and sign proof of delivery for specimens or reports, maintaining records for tracking purposes when applicable. • Scan specimens and results on the Courier Management Programme for tracking and tracing. • Safeguard Lancet’s assets and equipment through daily maintenance and fault reporting. • Utilize protective wear for safety and adherence to Health and Safety regulations. • Complete incident and accident reports, submitting them to Management for insurance claims and timely repairs. • Maintain Lancet vehicles’ cleanliness, reporting hazardous material spills to ensure safe working conditions in line with Quality Assurance Standards.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
- Valid code A driver’s license
- Preferably Grade 12
- Minimum Grade 10 or 10 years of courier experience
