Administrator at Murray and Roberts

Introduction: Murray & Roberts Cementation is currently accepting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the role of Administrator Site at Venetia Mine. The selected candidate will report to the Risk Coordinator. The company offers remuneration and benefits aligned with the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications are open exclusively to South African Citizens/Permanent Residents.

Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:

  • Providing effective and timely administrative support.
  • Accurately capturing and maintaining data on various safety management systems daily.
  • Requesting and expediting materials, as well as following up on open orders promptly.
  • Offering efficient administrative support to the SHEQ Department.
  • Assisting the SHEQ Department in processing safety-related documentation.
  • Logging, updating, and maintaining SHEQ-related documentation accurately on the HSE system on SharePoint.
  • Exercising effective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives.
  • Implementing controls to ensure data integrity and effective record-keeping.
  • Engaging stakeholders effectively to ensure smooth workflows.
  • Managing oneself effectively in alignment with M&RC values.

Desired Experience & Qualification: Suitable candidates should possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

  • Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent.
  • Office Administration qualification or similar at NQF Level 5 or National N6 Diploma.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
  • Administrative competence.
  • Numerical reasoning.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Suitable candidates should have the following work experience:

  • At least 4 years of experience in a clerical/administration position, if possessing an NQF 5 qualification.
  • At least 1.5 years of experience in a clerical/administration position, if possessing an N6 National Diploma.
  • Understanding of document control, procurement, payroll, and HR Administration.
