Main Purpose of the Role:

  • Ensure all KPIs are met as per SLA agreements within the Returns department.
  • Report on department performance to Internal Management.
  • Promptly, efficiently, and proactively address all client requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Matric
  • Tertiary qualification(s)

Additional Skills:

  • 3 years of experience and effective working knowledge of a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Intermediate computer literacy.

Elective Skills:

  • Operations: Extensive knowledge and hands-on skill related to inbound processes, facility housekeeping (5S), and batch and expiry control.
  • Communication: Effective written and verbal communication to manage and meet client expectations.

Job-Related Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehousing/logistics environment OR
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an FMCG and/or pharmaceutical environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage Returns Processes:

  • Oversee offloading of vehicles and receiving processes.
  • Ensure completion and filing of documents and registers.
  • Verify products according to specified criteria, ensure accurate counting, quality checking, and paperwork matching.
  • Conduct accurate and timely end-to-end investigations as per SLA.
  • Meet receiving and put-away KPIs as per client agreement.
  • Adhere to Returns SOPs, process flows, and work instructions.
  • Follow client-specified SOPs as per agreement.
  • Maintain Returns accuracy at all process levels.

Manage Returns Reporting:

  • Complete registers daily.
  • Fill out forms daily.
  • Report end-of-day data promptly.
  • Submit accurate and timely Returns reporting as specified.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy at all process levels.

Risk Management:

  • Participate in operational assessments.
  • Conduct SHERQ/Risk Audits.
  • Implement Quality Management Systems.
  • Identify areas of non-conformance and drive continual improvement initiatives.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Health and Safety standards and promote awareness.
  • Assist Management with ad hoc operational objectives.
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate willingness to achieve success and motivate team members.
  • Display strong decision-making abilities and confidence to operate independently.
  • Perform effectively under extreme pressure.
