Job Overview

We are seeking a Warehouse Picker to join our team and support warehouse operations. The primary responsibilities include picking and packing orders while ensuring the highest quality standards. The role aims to enhance efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

This position reports to the Floor Manager, Floor Supervisor, and Checker and requires working a straight shift across trading and non-trading hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick, pack, wrap, and label orders for delivery or collection.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace while optimizing space utilization.
  • Identify and report any stock discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and co-workers to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment safely.
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Handle heavy lifting and move products as needed.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of fruit and vegetable products to ensure correct picking and packing.
  • Work efficiently, particularly during high-demand periods.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • Previous experience as a Picker.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Reside within a 15km radius of the job location.
  • Clear criminal record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • South African candidates preferred.
  • At least one year of experience as a Picker in a warehouse environment.

  9. What action do you take if the order note and picked items do not match?
