Stock Counter

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct stock-takes in a retail environment, covering both the trading floor and warehouse, while ensuring a daily target of 400 SKUs is met.
  • Identify, investigate, and correct stock variances.
  • Assist departments with housekeeping tasks in preparation for stock-taking.
  • Maintain stock accuracy, ensure availability, and support cross-merchandising replenishment.
  • Recommend and implement best practices for stock management to minimize shrinkage.
  • Actively participate as a member of the shrinkage committee.
  • Support transversal stock-related projects, including RTS (Return to Supplier), IBT (Inter-Branch Transfers), and cross-merchandising initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Matric or NQF 4 equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail merchandising role.
  • Proficiency in Google Spreadsheets.
  • Strong understanding of the full retail merchandise cycle.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Strong planning, organizing, and time management abilities.
