Job Overview
G4S Secure Solutions (SA), a leader in integrated security management, is seeking a Logistics & Firearms Administrator to join our Head Office team in Centurion, Gauteng. This role reports directly to the Regional Logistics Manager.
We are looking for a proactive individual with a strong track record in enforcing company policies, applying best practices, and exercising sound judgement. Key Responsibilities
Purpose of the Role
This role involves the administration of assets and logistics within the company, including:
- Fleet administration
- Handling third-party claims
- Managing supplier registration
- Ensuring legal compliance with firearm regulations and internal policies
Fleet Maintenance and Repair Support
- Conduct monthly and quarterly vehicle inspections
- Support annual asset verification processes
- Assist with maintenance, accident, and breakdown coordination
Database Management
- Maintain up-to-date driver records (contact details, IDs, medical certificates)
- Perform annual audits of licenses and PDPs
- Coordinate the recovery and redirection of fines
- Follow up on accident enquiries and related disciplinary actions (e.g., warnings, suspensions, dismissals)
Third-Party Claims Administration
- Process and manage third-party claims
- Coordinate legal documentation
- Collaborate with Operations to resolve queries
- Ensure timely closure of claim files
Logistics and Firearms Administration
- Assist Operations with new firearm and equipment requests
- Coordinate with relevant departments for firearm-related needs
- Support with equipment maintenance and supply needs within the region
- Oversee monthly asset audits for regional equipment
Health and Safety Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and implementation of annual departmental safety plans
- Engage in company safety initiatives such as meetings and toolbox talks
- Report and discuss safety incidents with the relevant personnel
- Attend safety training and refreshers
- Follow and promote workplace safety policies and procedures
- Distribute safety-related communication as needed
Candidate Profile
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- PSIRA Grade A certification and Firearm Competency (essential)
- 2–3 years’ experience in firearm and asset administration
- Solid knowledge of the Firearms Control Act (Act 60 of 2000) and the PSIRA Act (Act 56 of 2001)
- Strong background in the security industry
