Job Title: Packing Operator
Location: Vereeniging, Gauteng
Purpose of the Role:
To efficiently package finished products in accordance with quality standards, ensuring operational targets are met within a clean, food-safe, and hygienic production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various packing machines to package finished goods
- Meet production targets for each shift
- Continuously monitor product quality and accurately record results
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment at all times
- Promptly report any production downtime to the supervisor or manager
- Track and analyze reasons for downtime
- Perform deep cleaning of machines and surrounding work area
- Complete ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Head of Department (HOD)
- Participate in and facilitate Invocom™ meetings
Required Competencies:

- Strong problem-solving capabilities
- Good numerical aptitude
Qualifications:
- Matric / Grade 12
Experience:
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in the milling industry
- 3 to 4 years’ experience as a packing operator
Working Conditions:
- Operates in a hot and noisy milling environment
- May be required to work beyond normal hours (including overtime and after-hours)
- Involves working with heavy mechanical and electrical equipment
- Shift work required
