Position Overview
We’re looking for a Picker to join our warehouse team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for picking and packing high-quality products for store delivery. You’ll work closely with the Floor Manager, Floor Supervisor, and Checker to ensure accuracy and efficiency across trading and non-trading hours. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup (pick, pack, wrap, label)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Report any inventory or order discrepancies
- Collaborate with supervisors and fellow team members
- Safely operate warehouse equipment and vehicles
- Follow all quality, safety, and operational standards
- Perform heavy lifting and move goods as needed
- Apply knowledge of fruit and vegetable products for precise picking and packing
- Maintain productivity during busy periods
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Proven experience as a Picker in a warehouse environment
- Proficient in English
- Reside within 15 km of the job location
- Clear criminal record
Preferred Qualifications
- South African citizen
- At least 1 year of relevant picking experience
