General Worker (Picker)

Shift Details: 8 hours per shift, 6 shifts per week (including Sundays and Public Holidays)

Position Overview

We’re looking for a Picker to join our warehouse team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for picking and packing high-quality products for store delivery. You’ll work closely with the Floor Manager, Floor Supervisor, and Checker to ensure accuracy and efficiency across trading and non-trading hours. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup (pick, pack, wrap, label)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
  • Report any inventory or order discrepancies
  • Collaborate with supervisors and fellow team members
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment and vehicles
  • Follow all quality, safety, and operational standards
  • Perform heavy lifting and move goods as needed
  • Apply knowledge of fruit and vegetable products for precise picking and packing
  • Maintain productivity during busy periods

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Proven experience as a Picker in a warehouse environment
  • Proficient in English
  • Reside within 15 km of the job location
  • Clear criminal record

Preferred Qualifications

  • South African citizen
  • At least 1 year of relevant picking experience
