Job Summary
The role is responsible for managing the company’s vehicle fleet and inventory to ensure smooth operations. This includes overseeing vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and utilization, as well as monitoring and controlling stock levels to meet business requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Stock Controller Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock levels by tracking incoming and outgoing goods, identifying discrepancies, and adjusting orders as needed.
- Stock Audits: Conduct regular physical stock counts to verify inventory accuracy against system records.
- Supplier Coordination: Manage supplier communication, place orders, negotiate pricing, and oversee delivery schedules.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate reports on stock levels, inventory turnover, and potential stock issues for informed decision-making.
- Stock Transfers: Oversee internal stock movements between departments.
- Cost Control: Identify and address potential stock losses or waste to minimize inventory costs.
- System Utilization: Use inventory management software to track stock levels and optimize processes.
- Risk Management: Ensure inventory is properly insured, security systems are functional, and stock movements are documented correctly.
Fleet Controller Responsibilities
- Driver Management: Schedule shifts, monitor driver performance, ensure compliance with driving regulations, and address any behavior issues.
- Fleet Maintenance: Develop and oversee vehicle maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and manage repairs.
- Fleet Tracking: Utilize GPS systems to monitor vehicle locations, identify delays, and prevent unauthorized usage.
- Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols to align with industry regulations.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients for smooth coordination of deliveries.
- Cost Management: Monitor fleet expenses, optimize fuel usage, and identify areas for cost reduction.
- Vehicle Assignment: Allocate drivers to vehicles based on operational needs.
- Problem-Solving: Address operational challenges such as delays and vehicle breakdowns.
Minimum Requirements

- Senior Certificate (Essential)
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in Fleet and Stock Control
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong planning and management skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate/Advanced)
