Job Description
The primary role is to ensure the efficient use of office space, maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment, and minimize disruptions to branch operations.
Required Minimum Education/Training:
- Minimum Grade 12
- Secretarial Diploma
- Certification as an Occupational Health & Safety Representative is advantageous
Required Minimum Work Experience:
- 3 years of supervisory experience
Key Performance Areas:
- Act as the front desk receptionist, welcoming and assisting walk-in and phone-in customers with high-quality service.
- Perform general administrative duties and support the admin department as needed.
- Plan and manage events, ensuring smooth execution and client satisfaction.
- Implement and oversee occupational health and safety protocols, ensuring adherence to the Health and Safety Act.
- Oversee facilities maintenance, including hygiene services, pest control, and coordination with subcontractors.
Technical Knowledge/Competencies:
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Advanced coordination skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in SAP is essential
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety is an advantage
- Strong administrative skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
- Fluent in written and spoken English for daily interactions with clients, visitors, and colleagues
- Ability to communicate in Afrikaans is an advantage
- Professional telephone etiquette and the ability to handle queries with professionalism
