Job Opportunity: Code 14 Driver – Krugersdorp & Alexandra
Phakisa Holdings is seeking experienced Code 14 Drivers to join our team in Krugersdorp and Alexandra. This role involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods while ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Operation:
- Safely operate a Code 14 heavy-duty truck, following traffic laws and company policies.
- Ensure regular vehicle maintenance, including fuel, tires, oil, and essential system checks.
- Transport goods efficiently to designated locations.
Route & Schedule Management:
- Plan and follow optimal routes for timely deliveries.
- Report any delays or transport issues to the Transport Manager.
- Maintain accurate trip logs, including departure/arrival times, kilometers traveled, and fuel usage.
Loading & Unloading:
- Assist in the safe loading and unloading of goods.
- Ensure goods are properly secured during transit.
- Inspect deliveries to confirm goods are undamaged.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Complete and sign all necessary transport documentation, including delivery notes and manifests.
- Keep accurate records for legal and company compliance, such as fuel receipts and mileage logs.
- Adhere to road safety regulations, weight limits, and company safety procedures.
Customer Interaction:
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with clients.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
Vehicle Maintenance & Safety:
- Perform routine vehicle checks and report any mechanical issues.
- Keep the vehicle clean and in good working condition.
- Participate in safety inspections and follow all company safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
- Valid Code 14 driver’s license with a valid PDP.
- Dangerous Goods and Superlink certification.
- Minimum 5 years of driving experience with a Code 14 vehicle.
- Contactable references.
- Clean criminal record.
Package & Remuneration:
- R79 per hour
