Role Summary:
The Driver will provide essential logistical support to the sales function by ensuring timely and secure delivery of goods. This role requires excellent time management, adherence to safety standards, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute daily delivery routes to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Ensure accurate documentation for all deliveries and collections.
- Verify loaded goods against accompanying paperwork.
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintain compliance with safety regulations.
- Securely load and transport goods, adhering to safety and insurance requirements.
- Maintain consistent communication with the logistics team regarding routes and schedules.
- Submit accurate time sheets and trip reports.
- Report all accidents and near misses, including police reporting and documentation.
- Report any instances of suspected illegal activity or unethical requests.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric certificate.
- Minimum 3 years of driving experience.
- Valid Driver’s License Code 10.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Good understanding of logistics and route planning.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with navigation tools.
