Introduction
A prominent manufacturer in retail shelving and shopfitting is looking for a proactive Storeman/Driver to effectively manage inventory and support delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the efficient handling of incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Receive, inspect, and verify stock against invoices, delivery notes, or purchase orders.
- Unload deliveries and organize stock for storage or dispatch.
- Optimize storage layout to enhance operational workflow.
- Perform routine and precise stock counts; monitor stock levels.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
- Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing products.
- Pick and load customer orders with accuracy and care.
- Coordinate and schedule all deliveries from the factory to various sites.
- Safely load and transport products to multiple locations across Cape Town.
- Manage the return process for damaged goods, including the necessary administration.
- Ensure the delivery vehicle is well-maintained and operated responsibly.
- Handle administrative duties including trip sheets, stock control reports, and delivery records.
- Perform additional tasks as delegated by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric / National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Tertiary certification in Warehousing, Logistics, or Stock Control (advantageous)
- Valid Code 8 Driver’s License with PDP
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in inventory or stock control
- Proficient in computer applications related to warehouse management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
