Job Overview
Lindsay Saker Fourways is looking for a Driver: Light Duty to join our team. Reporting to the Service Manager, this role involves executing driving duties and assisting with various operational tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
🚗 Vehicle Handling & Safety
- Inspect vehicles for defects, damages, and roadworthiness.
- Ensure all vehicles are locked and secured.
- Report any accidents, traffic offenses, or damages to management.
🔧 Operational Support
- Assist with additional tasks as required by the department.
- Provide language translation when necessary.
- Check new vehicles for missing tools, spare wheels, or defects, and report issues.
🛠 Vehicle Maintenance & Logistics
- Ensure vehicle keys are stored securely at reception or in a key box.
- Start vehicles regularly to prevent battery damage.
- Work overtime and night shifts (20:00 – 05:00) when required.
- Move vehicles between dealerships, suppliers, and customers.
🎓 Driver Training
- Conduct Driver Training for customers upon new vehicle handover.
- Complete reports on all Driver Training sessions.
Qualifications & Experience
📌 Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
- Valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s license.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
📌 Preferred Qualifications
- OEM or equivalent Driver Trainer Qualification (advantageous).
