Position: Driver
We are looking for an experienced Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting materials to various locations within the City of Cape Town, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. The role reports to the Project Manager.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly organized, and has an excellent knowledge of Cape Town’s routes. The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a company vehicle safely for deliveries.
- Ensure timely and accurate transportation of goods.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain necessary signatures.
- Adhere to all traffic regulations and maintain a clean driving record.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after trips.
- Provide professional customer service and address any queries.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when required.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid C1 driver’s license with a PrDP and a clean driving record.
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role (preferred but not required).
- Physically fit to handle loading and unloading tasks.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.
- Must pass a background check, including a criminal records screening.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards (e.g., ISO).
