Job Description
SA Metal Group is seeking a dedicated, cautious, and motivated individual to join the Copperworks team as a Code 10 Driver. The successful candidate will report to the Marketing and Sales Manager.
The Transport Division requires a Code 10 Driver to operate the Copperworks truck. Key responsibilities include:
- Safely, courteously, and promptly delivering products to customers.
- Building and maintaining positive customer relationships.
- Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting any faults.
- Preparing, loading, and unloading the vehicle while meeting delivery deadlines.
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers, store staff, and team members.
- Completing paperwork and submitting delivery-related reports.
- Assisting with general store duties as needed.
- Complying with the Road Traffic Act and company policies, as well as the Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations.
- Navigating Gauteng and surrounding areas efficiently.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license with PDP (no endorsements).
- At least 3 years of experience driving a Code 10 vehicle.
- Experience operating vehicles with manual transmissions.
