Key Performance Areas:

  • Foster trust between participants, the community, and study staff.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clinic personnel.
  • Maintain a logbook tracking distance traveled and fuel consumption.
  • Prepare accident and incident reports as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management when not providing transportation services.
  • Safely transport clients and/or packages to and from destinations.
  • Assist with general office tasks when required.
  • Ensure vehicles are parked in designated areas.
  • Keep mileage and repair records updated.
  • Ensure vehicles are consistently fueled and ready for use.
  • Assist in identifying and reporting any faults in all unit vehicles.
  • Report vehicle faults, necessary repairs, or accidents promptly.
  • Operate the vehicle safely and courteously, respecting other road users.
  • Coordinate with management for the daily transport schedule.
  • Complete relevant vehicle usage forms in compliance with policy.
  • Safely transport patients to and from destinations.
  • Transport staff for home visit assignments.
  • Adhere to all traffic regulations.
  • Collect refreshments for participants.
  • Perform any additional duties as directed by management.

Minimum Education and Training Requirements:

  • Matric or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License with PDP.

Minimum Work Experience:

  • At least two years of experience as a driver.

  • Job Purpose: Provide safe, reliable, and courteous transportation services for staff and participants, while ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
