Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods, ensuring on-time deliveries, and maintaining compliance with traffic laws and company regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport goods and materials to designated locations safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with loading and unloading as needed.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure proper documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules.
- Ensure cargo security throughout transit.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (appropriate for the vehicle type).
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience (logistics/transport industry preferred).
- Familiarity with Johannesburg and surrounding areas.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy loads.
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and regulations.
- Clear criminal record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Driving Permit (PDP) is an advantage.
- Experience in logistics, courier, or transportation industries.
