Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide safe, reliable, and professional transportation services, ensuring adherence to all safety standards.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Transport goods efficiently and securely.
  • Perform deliveries and collections as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of trips and related activities.
  • Comply with all SGS quality and safety requirements.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the direct line manager.
  • Keep company vehicles clean and well-maintained.
  • Assist laboratory personnel with general tasks, including box coordination, sample storage, and disposal.
  • Support monthly composite preparations.
  • Maintain the sample storage and disposal area.
  • Assist in waste management.

Compliance & Authority:

  • Halt the use of unsafe equipment or entry into hazardous environments without proper knowledge and protection, taking necessary steps to mitigate risks.
  • Discontinue any work that may compromise service quality and take corrective action.
  • Initiate formal improvement requests when system deviations, potential enhancements, or nonconformities are identified.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Senior Certificate (Matric).
  • Valid driver’s license.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the North West region.
  • Proficiency in reading maps and GPS navigation.
  • Basic literacy (reading and writing skills).
  • Good communication and professionalism.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to work overtime.
  • Flexibility in scheduling.
