Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide safe, reliable, and professional transportation services, ensuring adherence to all safety standards.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Transport goods efficiently and securely.
- Perform deliveries and collections as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of trips and related activities.
- Comply with all SGS quality and safety requirements.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the direct line manager.
- Keep company vehicles clean and well-maintained.
- Assist laboratory personnel with general tasks, including box coordination, sample storage, and disposal.
- Support monthly composite preparations.
- Maintain the sample storage and disposal area.
- Assist in waste management.
Compliance & Authority:
- Halt the use of unsafe equipment or entry into hazardous environments without proper knowledge and protection, taking necessary steps to mitigate risks.
- Discontinue any work that may compromise service quality and take corrective action.
- Initiate formal improvement requests when system deviations, potential enhancements, or nonconformities are identified.
Qualifications
Education:
- Senior Certificate (Matric).
- Valid driver’s license.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of the North West region.
- Proficiency in reading maps and GPS navigation.
- Basic literacy (reading and writing skills).
- Good communication and professionalism.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work overtime.
- Flexibility in scheduling.
