Introduction
We are looking for a dependable and experienced Driver with a valid Professional Driver’s Permit (PDP) to transport our site operators to and from various operating locations. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety, punctuality, and professionalism while supporting day-to-day site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport site operators to and from job sites on a daily basis
- Ensure the wellbeing and safety of all passengers during transit
- Maintain accurate records, including passenger logs, routes, and working hours
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any mechanical issues
- Coordinate with site management to plan and improve transportation routes
Additional Support Duties:
- Assist site operators with purchasing fuel during work hours
- Collect materials from suppliers or courier services
- Refuel machines as needed
- Sharpen tools and ensure they are ready for use
- Perform ad hoc tasks to support the team as required
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid PDP for the appropriate vehicle class
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience
- Solid understanding of road traffic laws and a clean driving record
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- Familiarity with GPS systems and navigation tools
- Basic vehicle maintenance and mechanical knowledge
