Job Description
Responsible for the safe and timely transportation of patients, adhering to all applicable regulations and rules governing patient transport.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 or equivalent education is essential.
- Code 10 Driver’s License and a valid PDP permit.
- No infringements on the driver’s license/permit will be accepted.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a driver.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Conduct daily pre-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle and ensure compliance with National Road and Traffic Act regulations.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs to the Fleet Manager.
- Maintain and complete daily logbooks and inspection sheets.
- Assist with the delivery of resources and transport of employees when needed.
- Prioritize job requests to optimize time and fuel efficiency.
- Safely and efficiently transport patients and customers.
- Park vehicles in secure company facilities, ensuring they are locked and keys are stored safely.
- Ensure vehicles are refueled before weekends or public holidays.
- Perform daily checks to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
