Job Overview
We are seeking a Driver Assistant to join our well-known liquor distribution team in Sandton. The role involves assisting with loading, unloading, and ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Punctuality: Report to your designated position on time to meet delivery schedules.
- Delivery Handover: Ensure an efficient handover of goods from the warehouse to the vehicle.
- Order Accuracy: Pack deliveries correctly to prevent damage during transit.
- Preparedness: Ensure you have your tablet and all required paperwork before leaving the warehouse.
- Stock Handling: Deliver and collect stock as per schedules or supervisor instructions.
- Customer Interaction: Provide friendly, professional service to encourage repeat business.
- Returns & Defective Items: Pick up and record defective wine as per instructions.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Clean and inspect the vehicle daily, ensuring it remains in top condition.
- Incident Reporting: Report any accidents or incidents immediately to the Driver Supervisor/Manager and follow standard procedures.
- Professional Appearance: Adhere to the company dress code and uniform policy, ensuring a neat and presentable appearance at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Code 10/14 Driver’s License (Advantageous)
