Customer Care – Front Office

Our esteemed client in Eerste River is looking for a customer-focused individual to handle both telephonic and face-to-face inquiries confidently. In this role, you will provide essential support to the owner and senior staff with various administrative tasks.

Language Requirement: Strong communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.

Requirements:

  • Matric qualification, well-groomed with excellent communication skills in English & Afrikaans.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service or front desk roles.
  • Professional demeanor with confidence.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to maintain customer confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in computer usage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a neat and organized reception area.
  • Ensure customers receive prompt and professional service.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, follow up on visits, and manage waiting lists.
  • Facilitate a smooth customer booking process to optimize workflow.
  • Assist customers in selecting frames and accessories.
  • Provide and explain quotations, prescriptions, and payment procedures.
  • Forward and track orders sent to the lab, ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Notify customers when their orders are ready for collection.
  • Maintain and update customer files, ensuring accurate records.
  • Handle office opening and closing procedures.
  • Process invoices promptly and accurately.
  • Stay updated on medical aid procedures and process claims efficiently.
  • Manage payments, issue goods as per company policy, and handle petty cash.
  • Follow up on outstanding accounts to ensure timely payments.
  • Conduct general administrative duties, including report typing.
  • Manage stock levels, stationery, and sundries as needed.
  • Perform stock-taking duties.

Salary: Dependent on experience.
